Chef Isabella’s Awesomely Good Yogurt Marinade
Serves: 4
1 ½ cups plain low -fat yogurt
1 large shallot, chopped
1/3 cup fresh Italian parsley, minced
¼ cup fresh dill, minced
1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon. finely grated lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl then place the mixture in a large zip-lock bag. Add the protein of your choice to the bag (like the chicken) and shake). Refrigerate overnight, turning the bag occasionally. When ready to cook, discard any excess marinade and follow the meat’s cooking instructions.
