dairy free substitutions imageI love milk and just about every food that falls into the dairy category. Fortunately, I don’t suffer from lactose intolerance. But, according to The Mayo Clinic, there are about 3 million annual cases of people in the United States alone who don’t have the ability to fully digest sugar (lactose) in dairy products. That’s when uncomfortable symptoms, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, flatulence, bloating and nausea, can present themselves. Not good!

An Easy Transition to Maintaining Your Exercise Routine During the Fall

walking through the autumn leavesFall is one of my favorite times of year. There is something beautiful in it for all of us.  It’s a season to renew, refresh and refocus on all the things that matter the most.

For me, I like to think of October as “the new year.”  It’s a time for me to gear up for the cooler temperatures, the holiday season and everything that comes along with the upcoming months.

It’s also a time to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage, the crisp air AND exercising outdoors, while taking in everything our environment has to offer.
